7thserpent.com is an unofficial fan site about the Max Payne games, written and run by 7th Serpent. The site has no connection to the publisher or the developer of the games, and they do not endorse it.

This page explains what the site does with information about its visitors, what the hosting provider sees when you open a page, and what rights you have under US law.

There are no accounts, sign-up forms, comment sections or newsletters here, and no page asks for your name, your email address or anything else about you. The site runs no analytics or advertising code, so nothing on its pages counts your visits, follows what you read or builds a profile of you.

The site’s pages set no cookies and save nothing in your browser’s storage. They carry only two small scripts: one opens the menu in the header, the other moves the scrolling strip of cards on the home page. Neither of them remembers anything between visits.

The hosting provider’s server may keep standard technical logs of the requests it receives: your IP address, the time of the request, the address of the page you asked for and the identifier your browser sends. Logs like these exist to keep the site secure and running. They are not combined with other information and are not used to profile anyone.

Typefaces, pictures, stylesheets and scripts all come from 7thserpent.com itself. Opening a page sends no requests to anyone else: there are no outside font services, ad networks or embedded video players.

A few pages link to other sites, such as Rockstar Games’ channel on YouTube and a video page on the Rockstar Games website. Once you follow such a link, you are on that site and under its own privacy policy; 7th Serpent has no say over it.

Privacy rights under US law concern the personal information a website collects about its readers and what it does with that information. 7thserpent.com collects no personal information from readers, and it sells or shares none. That leaves a single kind of record that involves you at all: the hosting logs described above. Any question or request about those logs can go to contact@7thserpent.com.

If the site ever starts collecting information about readers, by adding visitor analytics, for example, this page will be updated before that happens, and the date above the text will change.
